Favorite Things

My favorite color combo in the garden is orange and purple.

My favorite blooming scent is Jasmine. It is exploding here right now.

A pretty new mug was an early birthday gift from a friend.

Weekend pancakes. My own eggs make the batter so golden and rich. Remember my pancake tip here.

Folks have asked me where I got the ceramic egg holder. Target on clearance last year. They were $5. Maybe with spring they will carry them again. I found them in the kitchen department.

  1. My favorite garden combo is yellow and purple, but that orange is a beauty, too. I'm thinking I may get out and clear out the "winter" mess really soon. I'm still stuck in November, it seems.

Ooh ... homemade pancakes. That's a lovely treat.

  2. Nasturiums are one of my favorite annuals for sure. Lobelia too except they tend to die out on me by the end of July.

  14. I love all your favorite things, but that picture of the jasmine is gorgeous. What is the reddish/purple plant growing around it? I kind of have a thing for cups, so I'm really loving your birthday gift, too!

  18. It's the simple things that make a big impact. Love your flowers and all the pretty things you post. I found my egg holder at AC Moore craft store and I saw them at TJ Max also. Have a great week. The sun was shining here in Ky today but possible snow for tomorrow. We are ready for spring and summer. :)

  20. I have a favorite trio. Yellow, purple, and red. Your blooms are so gorgeous. I actually got to work in the garden a bit today. My back is still buried in snow, but my front beds were dry. Working the ground rejuvenates me. The egg holder is so fun. I am going to keep my eyes out for one.
    hugs,
    Jann
