Parties, Goodies, Snow and Tomatoes in December?

Some pics snapped from my phone...

My sister in law hosted a party for a friend's 50th. I went early and helped with a few things. Here we were getting the dessert bar set up.

I made funfetti cake batter fudge. I pinned it on my pinterest Sweets page.. If you like to eat cookie dough you will love this one. Uses funfetti cake batter.

Hubby and I went out cause I needed to get out and have some grown up, no kids kind of time and it was fun. I have been loving scarves this year. They are so fun to play with.

Our downtown has snow machines and it was so charming and romantic and hubby asked if I wanted to stroll and go in some shops. Uhhhh. heck ya! Don't have to ask me twice.

Look at my tomatoes I just picked recently. Amazing in December. There are some cherries and some from a beef steak I found that is for cooler weather. It is still loaded. We had BLT's one night.

My Moulin Rouge sunflower is blooming. If I plant seeds in Sept. they bloom for Christmas.

That sums up life around here. The presents are wrapped and we are all ready for Christmas. I do need to bake some cookies but probably Monday. I can barely walk today cause I danced almost every song last night at my SIL's party. At my age you pay for it the next day. Just had to take something cause my poor legs are killing me. Oh well it was worth it. I will lie around today and recoup.

I pinned the dessert bar for the Let Them Eat Cake banner - what a cute idea.

  7. That scarf looks so pretty Elaine, although if it is warm enough for tomatoes (jealous!) I would be w-a-a-a-y too warm in a scarf! Date night with your husband sounded like fun and the party was just beautiful. Dancing is worth paying for the next day isn't it:>)

  10. That dessert bar looks so pretty! Good for you for dancing all night. Love your new scarf - glad you and hubby had a nice date night. I'd gladly send you some real snow if I could - we have plenty. Tomatoes in December...I'm jealous! Brian picked up a couple of tomatoes at the grocery store today and they are gross. Barely any color and as hard as a rock.

  17. Good for you! The party decorations looked awesome and your fudge was so pretty. I'll have to try that recipe. Your town is charming...not like anything I ever saw in CA when I've been there. What a great idea to have a snow machine to get you in the spirit of things. Your tree is lovely! The best of everything to you and your family! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
