I was up early today to run errands and take lunch to my brother that is working near me for a week. What a treat so sit and chat over burgers and fries. Okay the pants are getting tighter folks. I need to get a walk in today.
In an effort to not have as much tear down to decorate this year we just added elements here and there where we could. On my hutch we left the main watering can and birdhouse and added things that sort of went with the colors or theme.
Day two of baking done. Gingies were baked and decorated and sugar cookies have been decorated. More tasting and more calories. Oh no!
When I was out it was really getting hectic. People were mixed. Some seemed happy but some seemed testy. I suppose this is the way it will be for the next few days. I was glad to pull in the driveway and come in the house with my packages. Stay safe everyone and enjoy the last few days of the pre-Christmas preparations. Tomorrow is candy making day. Sweat pants are in order (necessary).
I'm going to tell myself that I'm not baking because then I'd eat it. But then why did I have my daughter pick up that pecan pie at Braums? Well, after Christmas I'll think about it... So glad you're getting to spend time with your brother.

I love all your Christmas decorating. I've been thinking that I'll being doing the same thing you've done this year...just touches of Christmas here and there. It's a lot to put out and take down plus I've been leaning towards more natural things like greens, plants, berries, etc.
ReplyDeleteYour baking looks delicious. I plan on baking on Friday if all goes to plan. :o)

ReplyDeleteHow nice to be able to see your Bro this week. I think I am done with stores. For the most they have been OK, I have to say, even the people were friendly and I did not run into any testies LOL. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteOh..cute cookies. I was out and about today and TWO different people ran right into me with a shopping cart and never even nodded. Crazy. I felt like walking up and kicking one in the shins but I restrained myself!:>) The other one I forgave because she was old...yes...even OLDER than I am! Happy Busy Week! xo Diana
