What do you do on a dreary California Saturday night that is threatening to rain? Why you barbecue of course and for sunshine you make a pretty fruit salad.
Take some California strawberries...
and some oranges from the trees out back...
slice a banana and there you have it. Sunshine in a bowl. Any my little one said it was the best fruit salad ever. That is only because her little mind probably doesn't remember the last time we had fruit salad last summer.
Good Morning Elaine Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteOh does that ever look yummy. Your oranges are gorgeous. Yes that salad does look yummy.
We have lemons here in Phoenix. Last week we picked 150 pounds of lemons and we still have about 1/3 of the tree to go.
Did you get any rain? We have had sunshine and sunshine here in the valley. I don't think there is any rain in our forcast. The last 2 days in the 80s. Really beautiful.
Have a gorgeous Sunday sweet friend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Wish the oranges I have just came off the tree. The salad looks like sunshine in a bowl.
ReplyDeleteLooks delish! I love fruit, especially summer fruits. I can't wait til they are readily available again!

ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be something to pick oranges in my backyard. I'm sure they'd look lovely with the backdrop of snow! :)

I can't imagine just being able to take oranges off a tree! The fruit looks so appetizing.

Oh so yummy!! I didn't realize strawberries were so early here. I have seen them for sale on the corner a couple times. I was so surprised. Makes me want spring, but I know our worst weather is yet to come :( Blessings for a summer thinking week. ~Sara

ReplyDeleteYUM! so light and sunny. I have strawberries, store bought. Bananas are too ripe (waiting for me to bake them into banana bread). I don't recall that I have an orange tree out back. lol! Must swing by the store. I love fresh fruit, anyway and any day! So lovely for Valentines!

Jann
