I have been spending so much time outside that I forced myself to stay in and get things straightened in the house. Not easy, but I managed to stay indoors for a few hours. I really simplified Easter with the Easter Shelf in my kitchen and the dining room table getting the only holiday decor. This little guy sits in the wood tray for our table.
Oh, and this guy hiding in the dry sink. All the older pastel Easter stuff went to the Goodwill.
Picked up this wire basket on the clearance shelf at Country General Store. Not sure what to put in it.
I just put these things in but not a fan so do you have any suggestions?
Real plants would not work. The corner is too dark. This seems to be the black and yellow corner.
The door went on the coop last night. The girls can spend some time in there today. I am off to the feed store to get supplies. Must not look at the new chicks. I am waiting out the two suspect ones in hopes at least one will turn out the be a hen.
Was looking at the pic from your last post on growing your own celery. I am going to have to try that too. I am all for pesticide free foods. I don't care if my apples have a blemish on them. I am a big girl, I can handle it!

I fight the "new chick" urge every time I go to the feed supply!! Cute bun buns!!!
ReplyDeleteCute decor!
ReplyDeleteLove that wire basket too !
Hope your chicks end up being egg layers :)
There are a few plants that would survive in a dark corner--cast iron plant comes to mind. I don't know what size your wire basket is, but I'd want to put it above my desk to hold envelopes, picture mailers, hand-held stapler, etc.
ReplyDeleteThat is a super neat wire basket!! Your beehive and bunnies are cute, too!! The one in the cage looks so real!
ReplyDeletemecky
I love your Easter decor especially the bunny and eggs. I always wondered why the hen get a raw deal at Easter time, she does all the work and the bunny gets all the glory, what's up with that?!? LOL.
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are so cute and I too love that wire basket!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the decorations...i just am not a "deck out the house" kinda gal so I LOVE what you have done...much more than I have done, but not EVERYWHERE you look..(and no pastels!!! yeah..!)
ReplyDeleteWill have to look around to see what I can think up...not too great in that department..
Good luck in coming up with at least one of the two "suspects" being a hen!
I'll be keeping my fngers crossed on the chicks!! Your Easter splashes are adoreable as always!
ReplyDeleteYour Easter decorations are so sweet except I want to let that bunny out of the cage! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope your chicks turn out to be the hens as you'd like. If they are to be roosters is that a big problem?
Love the bunny. If you could somehow raise the bee skeep up. It needs height. I stayed inside all day. Ironed and mended for two hours. Stick a fork in me, I am done.
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness, the rabbit in the wood tray looks real! Love that wire basket. I like the suggestion to use it for organization. If it stays in the kitchen, perhaps some old cooking utensils, milk bottle, cutting board, rolling pin...have fun playing with it.

Hi Elaine,
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about the suspects too. If they turn out to be roos will you be forced to send them away? Just wondering if their are neighborhood rules?
Suzan
Cute, cute, bunnies!!
ReplyDeleteI'd say you're ready for Easter.
I am glad you gave your cute bunny in the cage a carrot to nibble on!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to see me!
I have eucalyptus sticking out of the bars of a birdcage that looks real cute. You could try something like that maybe.
ReplyDeleteThe rooster is a problem for sure! Look for a rescue farm near you to take him. I love the wire basket! I'd probably put vintage sealers in it but a plaid thermos or two would be cool as well. ~ Maureen
ReplyDeletelovely, lovely...Wishing you a blessed Easter with your family. Can't wait to see more of your chickens growing and the coop...so excited for you to get eggs...Hugs your way,Mica
ReplyDeleteYou have some very sweet easter things. Your wire basket looks great the way it is.

The wire basket is a classic find. Your creativity and imagination, can make you do a lot of great things to it. And I btw, love the first picture!
ReplyDeleteGreat decor! I have alot of pastel decor that needs to go to Goodwill also. Have a delightful Easter!
