This year has been delightful for gardening with cooler temps. I am looking forward to fall planting. Are you putting any veggies in for fall? Do tell.
That is a great photo of the coop and veggies. I am planting cool weather crops including bunching onions this week. I need to plant them in gopher cages cuz gophers will eat them. I also am planting Purple Prince zinnia seeds and 2 kinds of sunflower seeds, hoping for an early fall display. Red Japanese mustard and Swiss chard grow year round at our house in California.
I just planted my 4 boxes out front today! We've had a terrible time with the grasshoppers but the temps have been milder than most summers here. I'm hopeful for a successful Fall garden. I planted some Kolrabi...never had that, but giving it a try. I planted corn (?!) yes... going to try Fall corn, read that a lot of Texas growers are giving Fall corn a try. More green beans and peas... oh, and acorn squash. We'll see what comes up!
I have some snap peas, bush beans, romaine lettuce, butter head lettuce and carrots growing for my fall harvest. This is my first year doing a fall garden so it is an experiment. I planted it the last week of July for me up here in NH.
We are still in the building process for our raised veggie garden . Papa here is drawing up the blue prints for it to keep the critters out and be accessible for us at the same time then all will be in and ready for next season ! Lovely photo ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !
Yes, I can't wait for fall, it is way too hot, still in the triple digits and over 110 most days. Hugs, marty
