Christmas Has Arrived

Country and Prim Christmas Decor is the main theme in our home. I love pulling out my primitive Christmas decorations. Hubby is very crafty and can make primitive American Christmas decorations.

It's here. The spirit of the season has hit me and the Christmas primitive decorating has begun! Christmas primitive decor with a snowmen theme is my favorite. I have collected sparkly snowmen and prim snowmen decorations as long as I have been married.

We spent all of yesterday afternoon and evening decking the halls. Our outdoor lights are up and the house is pretty much done. Our main tree has yet to arrive as we like to go pick it out as a family.

As always we moved some furniture around and placed both dry sinks next to each other to make room for the big tree. My prim tree is sitting atop the child's dry sink. It is my favorite tree. Filled the little cupboard shelves with our collection of sheep.

I will share more later on but this is my more prim side of Christmas decor. To me the more subtle colors are warm and welcoming. Of course other rooms have more bright red but in here it is more toned down. You will see some of my prim snowmen scattered about. The primitive Christmas displays move around every year see where hubby displays his magic in for other Christmases.

  6. Such a cozy look for the holidays. Love the little goat with the wreathe around its neck. Reminds me of my sister (she raises them... but she's also good at butting heads)

  18. Elaine, I love the dry sinks together like that! I bet Princess Q loves playing with the little dry sink all decked out for Christmas. I love how homey your house always looks! I will start decorating today, everything but the tree as well. We also put lots of fresh greenery outside, but we'll wait on that, too.

I want to see your Christmas lights!
