Farmhouse Easter Decor

You know I think of our house as a farmhouse in the city so our farmhouse Easter decor follows suit. The hubby did a bit of Easter decorating this year. Really farmhouse describes us perfectly. Decor that is well loved, used, useful and mix and match. How about a little Easter tour?

I stole some of our plastic Easter eggs to drop in a ball jar.

I really find it hard to decorate with pastels but I love yellow and green for spring decorating. These chicks and the chick picture are my favorites.

I found this sunshine pillow at Home Goods and since we are Sunny Simple Life I had to have it. We sure have lots of sunshine in Southern California.

Into the House

I have been spending so much time outside that I forced myself to stay in and get things straightened in the house. Not easy, but I managed to stay indoors for a few hours. I really simplified Easter with the Easter Shelf in my kitchen and the dining room table getting the only holiday decor. This little guy sits in the wood tray for our table.
Oh, and this guy hiding in the dry sink. All the older pastel Easter stuff went to the Goodwill.

Picked up this wire basket on the clearance shelf at Country General Store. Not sure what to put in it.

I just put these things in but not a fan so do you have any suggestions?

Real plants would not work. The corner is too dark. This seems to be the black and yellow corner.

The door went on the coop last night. The girls can spend some time in there today. I am off to the feed store to get supplies. Must not look at the new chicks. I am waiting out the two suspect ones in hopes at least one will turn out the be a hen.

Easter Peeps Wreath

First off, I struggled to get a good picture of this wreath as it is very dark and dreary here today, but the wreath is really very bright and cheery. Love peeps but thought I'd make a wreath with them instead of eating them this year. They were so cheap and with an inexpensive wreath from Michaels and some $1 ribbon, this entire project cost me only a few dollars.

Here are the supplies. I used my glue gun to secure secure them onto the wreath. What could be simpler? You could use some sort of heavy cardstock flat wreath too, but I couldn't find anything like that.

I put the ribbon on first to make sure I could get it in between the peeps.

Here it is. Took me about 10 minutes to make. Happy Easter!

Easter Decor Part One

The spring bug has hit us and we have broke out some of the Easter decor.

A sweet little bunny on a kitchen shelf guarding the graters.

Changed up the table decor with another little bunny. Need to break out my white table cloth.

Some eggs added to a vintage grater.

A bunny with blue accents fits perfectly in my den.

This one is peeking out from behind the little birdbath.

A few people asked where I bought my bee hive and it is from a shop near me but I did see one online. Here is the link Bee Hive.
Some very prim bunnies that were a gift. My kids make fun of them every year when I pull them out.
